CSEAR
The Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) is a research program centre based in St Andrews, Scotland.  Since 1991 the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) has been an international, membership-based organisation exploring the implications of and the possibilities for social, environmental and sustainability accounting and reporting.  CSEAR’s network of members supports students, practitioners, scholars and educationalists in all aspects of this mission.

5th CSEAR ITALY CONFERENCE
In the light of the above the 5th CSEAR Italy Conference aims to provide an informal discussion forum to advance our theoretical understanding in the approach adopted by organizations (profit and not-for profit) in managing and reporting their sustainability impact. This conference is a gathering of academics, practitioners and researchers who focus on the research, theory and practice of social, environmental and sustainability accounting and reporting. The spirit of the conference is interdisciplinary and so submissions are also invited from perspectives beyond accounting.
For this 5th CSEAR Italy Conference we are pleased to announce that Prof. Robin Roberts, University of Central Florida, Prof. Charles Cho, ESSEC Business School, and Lorenzo Soilmene (KPMG Advisory) e Lucia Silva (KPMG Italy & EMA) have accepted to be our plenary speakers.
A particular focus of this conference will be devoted to the issues of green-washing and camouflaging, i.e. strategies that occurs when firms promote an impression of legitimate social and environmental values, which (may or) may not be confirmed by their actions.
