AAIP
Appraisal and Analysis of Infrastructure Projects
Scientific Responsible: LUCIANO GRECO
Project objectives: Appraisal and Analysis of Infrastructure Projects (AAIP) boasts a concrete teaching staff with extensive experience in infrastructure, spanning supranational to local levels. The interdisciplinary approach aims to bridge gaps in the literature, merging economics, engineering, law, and management for efficient infrastructure management. The project addresses the lack of interdisciplinarity, crucial for optimal decision-making at various levels, by disseminating cutting-edge research to professionals and students. AAIP focuses on incorporating recent developments in public-private partnerships, international law, and technological advancements into the toolboxes of professionals, fostering a culture of awareness. The program caters to professionals managing public and private entities, aiding in their understanding of public management procedures and exposure to infrastructure research.
The initiative aligns with the European Union's policies and initiatives, reflected in TEN-T and the Connecting Europe Facility. AAIP aims to emphasize the connections between the EU framework, national, and local programs, fostering compliance with internationally standardized methodologies. AAIP sets ambitious goals, including reaching 40 students in the first year, organizing three conferences, producing peer-reviewed articles, and involving external experts. These indicators aim to establish AAIP as a cornerstone in promoting academic research, creating a European knowledge foundation, and incorporating an EU perspective into unrelated studies.
