(13/B1 – SECS-P/07 Economia Aziendale)

Job Description and Position
The position offered is at the Assistant Professor Level in Accounting (RTD-A – scientific sector SECS-P/07 according to the Italian academic system). The position is un-tenured, full time, with a maximum teaching load of 90 contact hours per academic year.

Whilst this is not negotiable, the faculty member will enjoy bi or tri-annual increases upon meeting nationwide targes as defined by the University. The salary is subject to employee-paid social security contributions and Italian income tax. Depending on individual circumstances (e.g., being non-Italian resident for the past two years), the successful candidate may qualify for generous tax exemption (here for an unofficial but clear explanation of the mechanism at work).

Candidates must display an ability to publish in recognized scientific journals, and a pipeline of working papers with a potential to reach high quality field outlets or generalist journals. Publications in ‘A’ ranked journals according to the ANVUR and the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) are especially valued. The successful candidate must display an ability to work within national and international networks of scholars within their respective research clusters.

The Department particularly values the ability in securing research funding through competitive bids both at the national or international level. Last, candidates should demonstrate a willingness in taking up (minimal) service position at the Department level.

Furthermore, the Selection Committee will consider applicants meeting the following conditions:
a) evidence of high-quality teaching and mentoring through student or peer evaluations.
