Climate change forces businesses to adapt, but knowledge on strategies remains fragmented. This paper, published in the Journal of Cleaner Production, advances the field in three ways: 1) it offers a novel classification of business adaptation strategies, 2) identifies five key determinants influencing adaptation decisions, and 3) proposes a comprehensive framework that integrates determinants, adaptation types, and impacts. The review also introduces a 'reverse roadmap' to help practitioners and policymakers navigate adaptation decisions, enhancing resilience and reducing maladaptation risks.
