The Department of Economics and Management “M. Fanno” at the University of Padova invites expressions of interest for a two-year research grant in Management.

Our Department

The Department of Economics and Management (DEM) of the University of Padova is one of the leading research institutions in Italy for economics and business and recently has been included for the second time in a row in a shortlist of “Departments of Excellence” for the research and development programs quality. DEM offers an international Ph.D. program with a long tradition of quality and success that complements the Department's offer of bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The management research team of DEM has a record of publications in highly ranked scientific journals (i.e., Research Policy, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, among others) that range from innovation management to operational excellence and lean management, sustainable business models, and digital transformation.

Requirements

Successful candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Management studies. Candidates with a record of externally funded research (e.g., EU funding programs) are strongly preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates who can work collaboratively with faculty members to enhance our research programs, especially in the areas of the management of sustainability, sustainable innovation, and sustainable business models.

Useful information

The yearly gross salary is 26.753,00 €. The candidate will receive an extra 4.000 € as

research funds. The selected candidate is expected to start his/her activity in the first quarter of 2023.

Location

The Department of Economics and Management is in the historical city of Padova, 30km west of

Venice, within walking distance from the railway station and 1 hour away from the Venice Marco Polo

airport, with direct flights to more than 50 countries.
