CHAllenges in the National Governance of the Environment

Project objectives: The impact of current environmental challenges crucially depends on future policies and planning (IPCC, 2022). Despite the importance of environmental governance, green policies are kept below the suggested optimal level. The aim of CHANGE is to examine how the heterogeneity of countries in terms of political institutions and interests in environmental protection may hamper the coordination of their national environmental governance on common issues.
