Best Paper - EURAM SIMA AWARD 2021

The paper "Facing adversities: Entrepreneur's resilience and business recovery in SMEs" (authors Martina Gianecchini, Diego Campagnolo, Simona Leonelli, Alessandra Tognazzo and Paolo Gubitta from the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova) presented at the annual congress of the European Academy of Management (EURAM), has received the recognition of Best Paper by the Italian Society of Management SIMA - Società Italiana di Management.

"This work uses part of the data we collected in the European research project Building Better Business Resilience, supported by JPMorgan Chase Foundation JPMorgan Chase & Co. and coordinated by the Enterprise Research Center - ERC" - states Diego Campagnolo, Principal Investigator of the project for the University of Padova.

"Our findings show how in small and medium-sized companies the resilience of the entrepreneur supports the anticipation and immediate containment of a crisis - explains Martina Gianecchini - but to accelerate the recovery process, organizational resources are needed that cannot be limited to those of the entrepreneur."
