dSEA ACHIEVES THE PRESTIGIOUS EQUIS ACCREDITATION AS BUSINESS SCHOOL

The Department of Economics and Management "Marco Fanno" of the University of Padua, Italy, is proud to be the first Department of an Italian public university to achieve the prestigious EQUIS – EFMD Quality Improvement System – accreditation. This seal of excellence places it among the top 1% of Business Schools.

With the international EQUIS accreditation, the Department of Economics and Management has been asssessed on par with leading international Business Schools in terms of internationalization, quality of teaching, effectiveness of student services, prestige of research, and network connections with economic actors in the territory.

The EQUIS certification, currently recognized only by 1% of Business Schools engaged in managerial education, is based on a dossier of over one hundred pages and an inspection visit. These evaluations have allowed assessing the department's ability to attract students and faculty from around the world into a dynamic academic community that is attentive to social and environmental issues and connected to the professional realm.

 

DEPARTMENT OF EXCELLENCE

The Department of Economics and Management has been awarded the  “Departments of Excellence” seal and is confirmed as one of the 18 Italian departments of economics and statistics to receive funding for the five-year period 2023 – 2027.

On 28 December 2022, ANVUR published its ranking of the 180 departments of Italian state universities standing out for their research quality and development projects.

The “Departments of Excellence” seal was already awarded to our department in 2018 until 2022 when 180 departments of Italian state universities were financed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research


QUALITY OF TEACHING - National and International Rankings

Since 2012 the Department of Economics and Management has ranked among the best Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management degree in Italy by the famous Italian Research Institute – Censis. The ranking has been based on several indicators measuring teaching quality and the likelihood of students finding excellent jobs.

Our Department is also among the 150 best departments in the world in Economics and Econometrics according to the QS World University Rankings, which internationally measures the quality of the university system.
