Transfers and Degree Changes

Students holding an Italian entry qualification

Students enrolled in other Master's degrees at the University of Padua, or in other universities, and graduates already holding of a single-cycle Master's degree (DM 270/2004) may apply for admission to the first or second year of the following dSEA Master's degrees:

Candidates who intend to apply for recognition of previous studies must submit the pre-enrollment application and the application for the evaluation of the minimum curricular requirements, as established by the academic regulations of the chosen Master's degree program, following the instructions provided in the admission notice.

After submitting the pre-enrollment application, it is possible to apply for the evaluation of the previous academic career. The instructions for submitting the required documentation are published in the admission notice.

The university credits (CFU) required to meet the minimum curricular requirements, as outlined in the academic regulations of the chosen Master's Degree Program, cannot be validated for career shortening.

In the application for the evaluation of their previous academic career, applicants must indicate the exams they have taken in their previous Master's degree program, attaching the corresponding syllabus, Scientific-Disciplinary Sector, and CFU associated with each exam.

The committee in charge will assess and inform students about which exams can be fully validated or if additional tests are necessary to verify the knowledge. Validated exams will be transferred to the new Master's degree program's career at the time of final enrollment.

The year of admission will be determined based on the CFU already earned at the time of application submission, according to the following criteria:

  • If up to 40 CFU are recognized: admission to the first year
  • If at least 41 CFU are recognized: admission to the second year*

Please note: To be admitted to the second year of the Master's degrees in Applied Economics and Management for Sustainable Firms, applicants must have already earned the CFU related to the mandatory language proficiency requirement.
In the absence of the mandatory language proficiency requirement, candidates, even if they have sufficient CFU for second-year enrollment, will be admitted to the first year of the program.

In case of admission to the second year, the exemption from taking the admission test, if required, is provided
