Title: Innovation and the distribution of income between factors of production. A twofold relation

 

Abstract: The aim of the paper is to investigate not only how innovation changes the distribution of the income between factors of production, by means of fostering the productivity of labor, but also to show how innovation is itself dependent on the distribution of income. This presentation will focus on the empirical test of the specific predictions in the first part of my research, i.e., the positive relation between labor costs and the investment in higher quality capital input, and will represent the work plan of the second chapter of the thesis. I will focus on the data I want to use and the research-strategy I want to follow.
