Virtual Laboratory VLEM - Information and Access

A virtual laboratory open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing virtual desktops equipped with specific software for mathematical analysis and calculation and access to DATABASES.

 

 The  Virtual Laboratory VLEM, of the Department of Economics and Management "Marco Fanno", offers access to 'Windows 10' virtual desktops, which you can access, upon reservation, using your own device.

  TYPES OF VIRTUAL DESKTOPS

The dSEA VLEM offers 6 types of virtual desktops with different resources, availability and software:

  • VLEM-BASE (2 cpu and 8 Gb of ram): with basic software and specific equipment for economic/statistical analysis (for a maximum of 300 simultaneous accesses)
  • VLEM-EIKON (2 cpu and 8 Gb ram): equipped with basic and specific software for economic/statistical analysis and consultation of the Eikon Database (for a maximum of 5 simultaneous accesses)
  • VLEM-STATA (2 cpu and 8 Gb ram): equipped with basic and specific software for economic/statistical analysis including the Stata/SE 17 programme (for a maximum of 15 simultaneous accesses)
  • VLEM-SPSS (2 cpu and 8 Gb ram): equipped with basic software and specific for economic/statistical analysis, such as the SPSS Statistics 27 programme (for a maximum of 5 simultaneous accesses)
  • VLEM-WIN-L: (10 cpu and 32 Gb of ram): with basic and specific software for economic/statistical analysis (for a maximum of 32 simultaneous accesses). Only available to Professors, Research Fellows and PhD students. Access is also permitted to students if they have special needs, when requested by their professor.
  • VLEM-WIN-XL: (10 cpu and 64 Gb of ram): with basic and specific software for economic/statistical analysis (for a maximum of 16 simultaneous accesses). Only available to Professors, Research Fellows and PhD students. Access is also permitted to students if they have special needs, when requested by their professor.
