Lifelong Learning and Executive Education

Executive Education at the Department of Economics and Management "Marco Fanno" was developed with a clear aim: to bring into professional practice the results of the research the Department produces at the highest international level.

We offer programmes built on the areas where our research and teaching have recognised depth:

Digital and Sustainable Transformation
Digital technologies, artificial intelligence, organisational change and the integration of digital and environmental transitions.

Finance, Accounting and Business Relationships
Corporate finance, financial accounting, relationships between financial institutions and businesses, and evidence-based financial decision-making.

Marketing, Entrepreneurship and SME Development
Digital marketing, innovation, entrepreneurship and the development of managerial capabilities within small and medium-sized enterprises.

Circular Economy and Responsible Innovation
Circular business models, sustainability frameworks, climate-related challenges and responsible approaches to organisational development.

Interdisciplinary Professional Skills
Business and managerial competences developed for participants from scientific, technological and other specialist backgrounds.

Our philosophy. Our programmes.

Every programme combines academic rigour with immediate applicability. Content is grounded in original research and translated into formats designed for working professionals: case studies, simulations, project work, company testimonials and applied assignments. Ethics, responsibility and sustainability are a design criterion running through our programmes, consistent with the Department's positioning and with the EQUIS accreditation it holds. Our offer is structured around the University's lifelong learning categories, which differ in duration, admission requirements and type of certification.

Professional Development Courses Short courses on specialist or innovative topics not covered by the traditional university offer. This is the most agile format: it addresses working professionals who want to update a specific competence, with flexible arrangements in both delivery mode and the way topics are presented.

Advanced Training Courses Three-month programmes of 3 to 15 ECTS credits (75–375 hours) for employees and self-employed professionals seeking high-level development of specialist competences related to their work. Learning combines classroom teaching with individual work, with considerable scope for personalisation.

Specialisation Programmes (Post Graduate Programmes) One-year programmes of 6 to 20 ECTS credits (150–500 hours) providing in-depth study of a disciplinary field, according to the arrangements, requirements and duration established by the University for each programme.

Tailored and Co-designed Learning for organisations

Alongside its open-enrolment courses, the Department co-designs programmes for companies, public institutions, business associations and professional bodies. The starting point is a discussion of the organisational or strategic problem to be addressed; from there the Department builds the programme by selecting the most relevant internal expertise — including through interdepartmental collaborations across the University of Padova — and bringing in external partners where useful.

The Department operates within the University's lifelong learning framework and draws on the collaboration of UNISMART - University of Padova Foundation, and of CUOA Business School, with which an agreement for executive and managerial education is in place.

All formats can be delivered on campus, online or in blended mode.

Teaching teams bring together Department and University faculty with experts and practitioners, combining conceptual soundness with field experience.
